Unlock Your Potential with AI

It seems like information about AI in general, or ChatGPT and other large language models (LLMs), is everywhere. And you would be right to an extent - AI is rapidly transforming the modern workforce, revolutionizing how we work, communicate, and accomplish tasks.

The world around us is changing. Research conducted by PWC (2023), projects AI will contribute up to $15 trillion to the global economy by 2030. Additionally, AI adoption in the workplace can increase labor productivity by up to 40% (Accenture, 2023).

You may even think that everyone is using it these days… But that’s where you’d be wrong.

According to 2023 Pew Research, while 60% of U.S. adults are familiar with ChatGPT, relatively few have actually tried it themselves – only 14%. Only 14%! And that’s using ChatGPT for any purpose, work, or entertainment.

Now, while the Pew study was conducted a few months ago (and we all know how fast things are moving in the AI space), that is a shockingly low number. Even if we thought a survey done today would yield higher results for ChatGPT use, it would still be low.

If you are among the 14% - congratulations! If you have not tried some form of AI technology, you are at risk of getting left behind. No, AI will not take away your job, but the person who wants your job and has mastered AI to be more productive will.

How can you overcome your reluctance, fear, and skepticism towards AI? Here are 4 recommendations to get you onboard:

Educate Yourself:

Start - just by starting. Pick a few (only a few!) blogs or videos to get acquainted with AI tools and how they can help you in your day-to-day role. As Mary Ann mentioned in her blog last week, this can turn into going down a rabbit hole for hours and hours. So just pick a few to get your mind right, and attitude right, about delving into the world of AI.

·

Take Small Steps:

It's important to get acclimated with the tools themselves. Whether it's ChatGPT or any of the other options out there, many have free versions to try out, and when you find a step-by-step video that has the right level of "get started" instruction for you, it's pretty effortless to go at your own pace.

Get a Buddy:

If you’re tech skeptical, or even if you don’t have the patience to “figure it out” on your own, connect with someone you know that is, and ask them to show you a few things. Again, we’re just talking about getting started and increasing your comfort level. The advanced stuff will come later. Just try it out for now with a friend or colleague that can help with the first few steps.

Attend Workshops and Training Sessions:

Bingo! And here is where the magic happens (and where Butler Street can help you). Attend virtual workshops and training sessions that are dedicated to your role and industry, so that you can gain real-time exposure to the tools and different ways to use them without losing the human factor. They also give you the chance to ask questions and interact with the facilitators. Everyone will be at a different place with AI, so again, go at your own pace and aim for progressive improvement each time. Workshops like the one we are offering can be just the catalyst to get you excited about the future with AI.

By now you have gathered that this is the third AI-focused blog in as many weeks and it's no accident – AI is here to stay. Clearly, we see some patterns for success where AI is concerned, and we are 100% here for it. And we’re 100% behind each and every one of you who wants to get in on the game without going down the AI content rabbit hole!
